"Seasons in Poem"

This activity aims the creativity. My students (Movers II) are studying the seasons and the activities we can do in each one. So as a suggestion of their book "Happy Earth", they have to choose one season and write a poem about it. They love this kind of activity, because they are learning and playing at the same time.
And something that we, teachers, have to consider is about the context, because when a child is involved in natural and free imaginative play, he is always making his discoveries, finding new alternatives.

SUMMER  

Marine and Sandy wrote this beautiful poem:

In summer, it's hot

there are places to go

beach, pool and club

play soccer and score a goal.

You can wear bikini, cap and flip-flop

this season is so beautiful

everybody loves it

and all the people are cool.

SPRING

There are flowers in spring

Friends like going fishing

AUTUMN

Gustavo Lopes and Gustavo Henrique wrote a creative poem about autumn.

In autumn, the park was full of trees

with fruits ready to eat.

The sky was full of diferent colors

Everybody sees the scenery.

And this season is beautiful to see!!!

SPRING

Nina is not in the picture, but they made a great poem together.

Spring is coming ...

the flowers are colorful

there is no season

more beautiful than you!

The sun is shining

The animals are well

Roses, violets and daises ...

Classes 2011!!!

There are some classes that words couldn't explain ...

Movers II is a special class that I have on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30 pm. They've studied with me since 2008. And we made a science experiment last week ... they were studying about some nature facts, so we made a volcano. It is good idea when we can mix English with others subjects.

I have a class that you are gonna feel what I feel teaching them,only if you are in my place ... because they are wonderful!!!
This activity was the comprehension of the story "A day with a baby"... they painted their favorite part of it.

"Birthday party" is always moment for people ... imagine for these young children!!! The loved the idea ...

"My last vacation!"

The activity "My last vacation" was made on Tuesday 15th. My students from Movers I, they are 9-10 years old, on Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 pm, have written how was their last vacation and they have brought a picture that is in the ending of each post. And for homework, they are going to leave a comment here!! So, my dear students, have fun and improve your English!!!

Matheus Rodrigues
I went to São Paulo. I went with my grandmother and my grandfather. I stayed in an apartment. I spent 5 days there. And I visited Aparecida do Norte and I ate at Habib's.

I went to my grandfather's house. I went with my sister, Manoella. I stayed at his house. I spent 2 days there and I played lots of games and took pictures.

I went to Piúma. I went with my mother. I stayed in a beautiful house. I spent 7 days there and I swam on the beach.

I went to Sossego (beach). I went with my mother and my father. I stayed in a house. I spent 15 days there and I swam on the beach.

I went to Pernambuco. I went with mother and my uncle. I went by plane. I stayed in a hotel. I spent 7 days there. I visited the beaches, the hotel, I swam on the pool and I visited Recife.

I went to Popular Velha with Green Bay. I went with my mother and my father. I spent only 1 day there. And I planted a tree.

Ana Luísa Vargas
I went to Atafona. I went with my grandfather, my grandmother, my cousin and my aunt. I stayed at my aunt's house. I spent 20 days there and I swam on the beach.

Gabriela Moreira
I went to Vitória. I went with my mother, my father and my brother. I stayed in an apartment. I spent 5 days there. I visited the chocolate factory and I went to the beach.
